Single Blastocyst Transfer Incentive Program

Since the only statistical difference in live birth rates between single blastocyst transfers and double blastocyst transfers are the follow-up frozen-thawed blastocyst transfer, the formal incentive program aims to remove the financial burden of the frozen-thawed cycle. The incentive program consists of two parts:

  1. Free cryopreservation and storage of frozen blastocysts for SBT patients, regardless of pregnancy outcome.
  2. If the SBT did not result in a live birth (~30% of patients) Frisco Institute for Reproductive Medicine will perform a subsequent thawed blastocyst transfer at no additional cost excluding patient-specific medications needed in preparation for the transfer.

Our experience has been that two out of every three couples that qualify for a single blastocyst transfer will accept the recommendation.
