We now clearly demonstrated that there is no difference in the cumulative fresh-frozen live-birth rate between SBT and two-blastocyst transfers. When meeting the criteria (age, blastocyst quality, one additional blastocyst for cryopreservation) we expect a live birth rate of ~70% when transferring a single blastocyst with a twin rate of ~2%. When transferring two blastocysts under the same circumstances we expect a live birth rate of 80%, a twin rate of ~70% a triplet rate of 2% and some form of maternal or infant complications in about 50% of pregnancies. When following-up with at least one frozen-thawed blastocyst transfer, the cumulative live birth rates for both single and double blastocyst transfers are about the same at ~82%.
