The cost of infertility treatment can be minimized by consulting with an infertility specialist early on. The goal is to offer the least invasive, most cost-effective evaluation and treatment to our patients with the highest chance of success, regardless of insurance coverage. Less cost and less technology do not necessarily mean lower success rates. With more advanced technologies such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), you are assured of among the best IVF success rates in the world.
Medical characteristics of patients and approaches to treatment vary from clinic to clinic, comparing success rates between IVF programs may not be meaningful or accurate. However, when studying IVF success rates, emphasis should be placed on age group, live births and cycle starts.
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the process where eggs are fertilized in a technologically advanced laboratory and then grown in sophisticated embryo incubators before transfer to the mother’s uterus. This allows correction and bypassing of certain causes of infertility such as blocked fallopian tubes or severe endometriosis.
Unlike many other facilities, our IVF laboratory does have the equipment as well as the scientific expertise to support the early embryo until the blastocyst stage (day 5) when it usually arrives in the uterus from the fallopian tube.
