Normal fallopian tubes are paramount to allow for the successful meeting of the sperm and the egg. A special dye test (hysterosalpingogram) is frequently indicated to confirm that the fallopian tubes are functional and open. The passage of the dye through the tubes is viewed with advanced X-ray equipment. The Frisco Institute for Reproductive Medicine provides this service conveniently on-site, without the need to schedule this procedure in advance through a hospital radiology department. The C-arm fluoroscope uses very low X-ray doses while providing superior image quality. This allows for the accurate and timely evaluation of the fallopian tubes. Unlike in community hospitals, this imaging facility is dedicated to infertility patients only.
