The IVF  laboratory is the heart of an in vitro treatment cycle. It is here where eggs are exposed to the sperm and the resulting embryos are safeguarded for up to 6 days. The IVF laboratory contains computerized human embryo incubators to keep the embryos at exactly the right temperature and also to precisely control the acidity level of the culture media. All embryos at Frisco IVF are cultured in reduced oxygen. Drs. Meintjes, Mehta and Madden have shown that embryos cultured under these conditions have a significantly higher chance to result in a live-born baby. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is also performed in the IVF laboratory using micromanipulators and a high-powered microscope which floats on air cylinders to minimize vibration.
