The concentration of reproductive hormones in the blood such as estradiol, progesterone or hCG (pregnancy hormone) can provide essential information to be used for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. A hormone such as estradiol may indicate the progress of follicular stimulation for ovulation induction or for IVF. Quantities of progesterone and/or hCG in the blood can reflect the presence or the health of a pregnancy.
